The department has in its structure two research divisions and namely:

• Fire behaviour

• studies concerning the fire behaviour of constructions;
• static and dynamic analyses concerning resistance and stability;
• numeric simulation concerning the behaviour at mechanic and fire actions;
• technical expertise specific to the domain.

• The analysis of the test reports concerning the fire behaviour, the structures and constructive systems issued by the accredited and notified laboratories;
• the expertise of the test reports in correlation with national and European norms concerning the fire behaviour,
• technical and scientifically collaboration with accredited and notified laboratories from EU for fire tests.
