NATIONAL STANDARDIZATION

The national standardization activity takes place in the technical committees, bodies without juridical personality of the national standardization organism.

By participating to the technical committee activity, the experts of the interested economical units have the possibility to bring their contribution to the national, European and international standardization work, have knowledge about requirements proposed to be included in standards and to correlate them with current national technical and legislative regulations. At the same time, the active participation to technical committees work represents a special suitability for achievement and keeping up connection with specialists from the specific area of activity, from Romania and abroad.

EUROPEAN STANDARDIZATION

CEN, the European Committee for Standardization, was founded in 1961 by the national standards bodies in the European Economic Community and European Free Trade Association (EFTA) countries.

Now CEN is contributing to the objectives of the European Union and European Economic Area with voluntary technical standards which promote free trade, safety of workers and consumers, interoperability of networks, environmental protection, exploitation of research and development programmes, and public procurement.

The European Standards must be transposed into national standards and conflicting standards withdrawn.

EUROTEST

EuroTest is a mark of quality and safety. EuroTest is a voluntary type test. The basic requirements are regularly updated by analyzing accident statistics and taking account of the latest progress made on technical front and current legislation. The EuroTest mark is only awarded by independent supraregional institutions.

The partners of EuroTest Cooperation offer support to manufacturers and operators by carrying out machine tests and safety inspections based on current legislation.

EuroTest objectives:

  • highest standard of safety for the products being tested;
  • prevention by testing machines and equipment;
  • safety for machine manufacturers and operators;
  • harmonized requirements profiles;
  • objective analysis of the safety standard.
